Tampa Bay Rays: Sunburst Invitational

Challenge

The Tampa Bay Rays sought to host a high-profile series of five tournaments, blending online and in-person formats to engage a diverse audience. The project required a seamless integration of remote production and on-site event coordination, with specific challenges including multi-platform streaming, high-quality production standards, and managing logistical complexities for both virtual and physical setups. Ensuring consistent branding, audience engagement, and technical reliability across all five tournaments added an additional layer of difficulty.

Solution

To address these challenges, we developed a comprehensive production strategy tailored to each tournament’s unique requirements. For online events, we coordinated pre-production efforts, including stream layout design, scheduling, and technical testing with participants to ensure smooth execution. For the in-person tournament, we directed and oversaw the setup and execution of the stream, integrating multi-camera systems and live broadcast tools to deliver a professional-quality production. Throughout the series, we prioritized maintaining consistent quality by leveraging automation and advanced streaming tools while ensuring efficient transitions and reliable technology.

Outcome

The tournament series was a success, engaging the Rays’ audience across multiple platforms and formats while meeting the high production standards expected of the franchise. The seamless execution of all five events demonstrated our ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects, blending online and in-person components effectively. The success of this series further cemented our reputation for delivering innovative and reliable solutions for high-profile productions, positioning us for future collaborations with similar clients.
